The EVMavericks community runs a fantasy football league where 12.5% of the prize pool flows into a live Octant Vault on Ethereum mainnet — principal intact, yield to Protocol Guild, forever.
The Idea
Where competition meets contribution to the Ethereum ecosystem
Ethereum makes it possible for a community to pool capital and deploy it into DeFi to generate yield that perpetually funds public goods. Even a slow-growing treasury — effectively managed — can make a meaningful and sustainable impact over time.
The EVMavericks r/ethereum Fantasy Football league allocates 12.5% of the prize pool to a community multisig, which is deposited into an Octant Vault using a Yearn wETH strategy. The principal stays intact; yield flows to Protocol Guild in perpetuity. Season 1 wrapped in January 2026 with payouts executed on-chain.
Prize splits: 12.5% of the prize pool goes to public goods funding in perpetuity. The remaining 87.5% is distributed to the top three finishers — roughly 65% to 1st place, 15% to 2nd, and 8% to 3rd.
How It Works

Compete in our Yahoo Fantasy Football league alongside the EVMavericks and r/ethereum community. Draft your team, manage your roster, and play for prizes each season.
12.5% of every prize pool is sent to a community multisig on Ethereum mainnet (bridged from Arbitrum in April 2026) and deposited into an Octant Vault via a Yearn wETH strategy.
The principal remains in the vault untouched. Yield — currently ~1.77% APY on wETH — flows to Protocol Guild, funding the core Ethereum protocol developers building the infrastructure we all depend on.
Community deposits are now live via greengoods.app — any external wallet can deposit directly into the vault without joining the league. A Protocol Guild member is being added as a 4th multisig signer (coming soon).
